Oh my God! We’re all going to die! People around me, here in Bucharest (Romania) has just started to wear swine-flue masks. Well this is weird, should I buy one for myself? Better I sit in front of my transceiver, have virus-free radio contacts with other hams all over the world and the risk of infection is negative.

Funny masks, but probably not as effective as:
Hand-washing protocol, avoiding spraying by sneezing into elbow, hand-washing protocol, keeping hands out of mouth and nose (and other people’s mouths and noses), generally by not doing things that are gross.

@ Brad – Personal hygiene is important no matter if there is any kind of flue or not. There was also the chicken flue now the pig flue… I saw on a local newspaper an article where it was saying that a cat was contaminated with pigs flue so probably by mutation we’re gonna got a cat flue soon. I know is not funny but still, people with masks on the street? Probably next step is bio-hazard suit.
